Softside Gen AI Policy
Softside was established to uplift human creativity and foster meaningful collaborations between music/entertainment IP holders and their talented fan communities.
We have assessed that visual content created by generative AI raises ethical and legal concerns that conflict with Softside's core values and policies.
Therefore, as of April 21, 2025, we do not allow AI-generated designs in the Softside platform.
We understand many design editing software have AI-powered tools. To be clear, our policy is as follows:
- Using AI-powered tools for minor retouching or refinements to original, human-made designs that do not alter the core artistic intent of the work (i.e. background removal, color adjustments, text extraction, etc.)
AI-generated images, including:
- AI-created illustrations, images, photos, or designs;
- Any work where AI plays a dominant role in concept creation / design generation rather than assisting with minor edits or refinements.
As the intersection of technology and art continues to evolve, we remain committed to reevaluating our policies in ways that uphold our values, support creative integrity, and remain in step with industry best practices. If there are ever any material changes to Softside's Gen AI Policy, users will be notified via email communications.

Content uploads found in violation of our policy may be removed. Repeated violations may result in account restrictions or suspension.
By uploading content to the Softside platform, you warrant and represent that your work complies with this policy, which is part of the Terms of Service you agreed to upon creating your account.
