Daisy the Great

Daisy the Great is the New York City duo of Mina Walker and Kelley Dugan, known for their intricate vocal harmonies, inventive songwriting, and genre-bending indie pop. The pair met while studying at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, where a shared love of writing and collaboration led them to form a band. Since releasing their debut album I’m Not Getting Any Taller in 2019, Daisy the Great has built a devoted following through their distinctive sound, sharp and imaginative lyricism, and signature use of vocal hocketing—a technique that splits melodies across two voices to create the duo’s uniquely intertwined vocal style. Their breakout song, “The Record Player Song,” went viral on TikTok and later earned Gold certification. Their most recent album, The Rubber Teeth Talk, expands Daisy the Great’s musical world through adventurous arrangements, vivid storytelling, and the duo’s signature vocal interplay. Building on the collaborative spirit at the heart of the record, the band is now releasing The Rubber Teeth Talk With Friends, a reimagined version of the album featuring Frankie Cosmos, Ray Bull, Sipper, Alexis Krauss, Harmony Tividad, Lutalo, Babehoven, Like A Doll, Benét, Birthday Girl, Paper Lady, and Tex Patrello, each contributing new performances, arrangements, and creative interpretations of the songs. The duo has released multiple albums and EPs, collaborated with artists including Claud, Illuminati Hotties, and Tony Visconti, and toured with acts such as The Kooks, The Vaccines, Indigo Girls, and half•alive while appearing at major festivals including Lollapalooza and Firefly. Their music blends playful experimentation with emotional honesty, anchored by the unmistakable sound of their two voices.
